Once Upon a Party

  • Every university is required by the Campus Save Act to implement gender-based violence prevention programming annually.  
  • “Once Upon a Party” provides a budget friendly and accessible platform that motivates students to change problematic behavior.  
  • No programs have demonstrated user engagement, impact, and efficacy as well as “Once Upon a Party.”  
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention only endorse 2 commonly used gender-based violence prevention programs for college campuses; Bringing in the Bystander and Green Dot. 

What Is It?

  • Text-based interactive narrative choose your own adventure game. 
  • The player is a student sitting in their room texting friends who are in unsafe situations that could lead to gender-based violence.  
  • The game is played on a secure web browser that does not collect player information.  
  • Users must have an .edu email address to play.
